Democracy Action Fair - September 7, 2025

IRCC teamed up with Commit to Democracy to host a Democracy Action Fair on a sunny Sunday in Alamo. The Fair was well-attended with organizational and political leaders, activists, neighbors and their families to get to know one another while learning how to be effective activists for democracy. On-site activities included making protest signs, postcarding to voters, phone banking, calling Congress, letter-writing, young voter outreach, immigration support, legislation information, and public actions.

We thank all who helped organize the event and our gratitude to all who attended and participated, including Congressman Mark DeSaulnier and Vice Major of Concord, Laura Nakamura, who both spoke and mingled with attendees for hours. We applaud our elected officials for their work in representing their constituents and for all they do for our community. To all of you who baked, set up, took down, sang, DJ'd, worked tirelessly in the kitchen and at the Fair itself, thank you!
